Preschool Assistant Director

About the role

Cadence Education is seeking a passionate Preschool Assistant Director to join its team of early‑childhood educators. You will help create a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and grow while supporting the overall success of the school.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a welcoming preschool setting that meets safety, licensing, and sanitation standards.
• Build strong relationships with parents, staff, and children through regular communication and one‑on‑one meetings.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of 20–40 educators, fostering professional growth and high performance.
• Oversee financial operations to ensure program quality and community engagement.
• Plan and execute marketing events and community outreach initiatives.
• Ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Manage hiring, training, and performance review processes.

Required profile

• Proven success as an Assistant Director or similar leadership role in a large preschool or early‑childhood setting.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on teaching experience.
• Meets state licensing standards, including background screening and fingerprinting.
• Either a Bachelor’s degree with 6+ months group‑childcare experience, a B.S. in Early Childhood Education, or an Associate’s degree with supervisory experience.
