About the role
The Project Officer – Livelihood will lead the planning and implementation of livelihood and food‑security interventions that build resilience of vulnerable households in the designated district of Uganda.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and implement livelihood and food security interventions to build household resilience in the designated district.
- Work with local government extension agents, village agents and community groups to deliver Climate‑Smart Agriculture training and support farmer producer organisations.
- Facilitate monitoring, reporting and coordination with partners, donors and the emergency team as needed.
Required profile
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in agriculture, environmental management, social sciences or a related field.
- At least three years experience in disaster risk reduction, food security, livelihoods or nutrition programming in Uganda, preferably with an international NGO.
- Ability to travel to hard‑to‑reach areas and work under strenuous conditions.
Required skills
- Motorcycle riding.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
