About the role
We are looking for a Reservations Agent to handle all reservation requests for our hotel in Kampala. The role involves processing bookings, changes, and cancellations via phone, fax or mail, and providing guests with accurate information about rates and policies.
Key responsibilities
- Process reservation requests, modifications, and cancellations received through various channels.
- Verify room availability, rates, and guarantee policies, and explain them to guests.
- Enter accurate data into the reservation system, including special rates such as complimentary rooms and travel‑agent rates.
- Document special requests, answer guest inquiries about facilities, and follow sales techniques to maximize revenue.
- Escalate guest concerns according to proper procedures and maintain confidentiality of guest and company information.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- No prior related work experience required.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification required.
