Backend Engineer Annotator

About the role

We are looking for a highly analytical Backend Engineer Annotator to support the development and evaluation of artificial intelligence models. In this role you will review, annotate, validate, and improve backend‑engineering datasets, code samples, and system‑design outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and annotate backend code samples and engineering workflows.
• Label datasets involving REST APIs, GraphQL, and backend processes.
• Validate scalability, performance, and reliability standards of server‑side code.
• Provide structured engineering reasoning and evaluation feedback.
• Assess server‑side code performance and logical accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related technical discipline.
• Understanding of authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, and session management.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event‑driven design.
• Experience reviewing database queries, authentication systems, and microservices.
• Strong grasp of backend security principles and secure coding standards.
• Familiarity with containerisation tools (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Prior experience conducting code reviews or technical assessments.
