About the role
Mamoru is expanding its fintech operations across Africa and seeks a Business Development Manager to lead its entry into Uganda. The role combines local market development, partnership building, and regulatory setup to launch a fully compliant financial services platform.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in establishing the local legal entity, FX broker accounts, exchange accounts, and onboarding with payment processors.
- Collaborate with the global operations team to align local processes with corporate standards.
- Act as the local representative, cultivating relationships with banks, brokers, exchanges, merchants, and payment processors.
- Develop and grow the FX trading business targeting high‑net‑worth investors, institutional clients, merchants, and individual traders.
- Monitor market trends, identify opportunities and risks, and propose new projects in the FX payments space.
- Serve as nominee director of the Ugandan entity and manage administrative tasks.
Required profile
- Prior experience in banking or FX with solid understanding of trading products and trade life‑cycle.
- Ugandan national.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑management skills.
- Detail‑oriented, able to multitask and work independently.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Required skills
- Knowledge of FX trading products and market operations.
- Experience with financial regulatory compliance and entity setup.
