Country Lead Public Affairs

About the role

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) is seeking a strategic and influential Country Lead Public Affairs for Uganda. Reporting to the Public Affairs, Communication and Sustainability Director, you will shape and protect the operating environment by engaging with government, regulators, industry bodies and other key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the public affairs strategy for Uganda.
• Build and maintain relationships with government officials, regulators, and industry associations.
• Monitor policy developments and influence legislation that impacts the business.
• Enhance corporate reputation and mitigate external risks through proactive stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align public affairs activities with business objectives and sustainability goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in public affairs, government relations or stakeholder engagement, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of the regulatory and policy landscape in Uganda.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to think strategically and translate insights into actionable plans.
