DDC Technician – Water Systems

About the role

The DDC Technician will support inspections, surveys, and data reviews for water systems to ensure compliance with the Certificate to Operate (CTO) process. You will work closely with internal teams, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders in Kampala.

Key responsibilities

• Support inspections, surveys, and data reviews linked to the CTO review process (CNIC M-5090.1A).
• Conduct sanitary surveys, identify health or regulatory issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Respond to Requests for Information (RFI) and collect accurate data for stakeholders and regulators.
• Update the Requirements Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) with corrective actions and improvements.
• Maintain documentation for regulatory compliance and prepare performance reports.
• Coordinate with internal departments, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders to align on water system requirements.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in inspection, assessment, maintenance, and compliance of water systems or related technical systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with CTO review processes and CNIC M-5090.1A guidelines.
• Ability to travel internationally with a valid passport (minimum 1 year).
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain facility credentials.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for tracking and reporting.
• Technical knowledge of water treatment systems, utilities, and infrastructure.
• Experience conducting sanitary surveys and preparing assessments.
• Strong documentation and data‑review skills.
