Financial Inclusion Officer

About the role

FINCA Uganda is seeking a motivated Financial Inclusion Officer to drive sales, marketing and financial literacy initiatives in the Kawempe area of Kampala. You will work closely with the Branch Manager to reach underserved communities and promote group lending products.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑create monthly sales and marketing plans with the Branch Manager, including community drives, focus groups and door‑to‑door activities.
• Design and deliver a monthly three‑session training package for potential group‑lending customers.
• Provide financial literacy training and educate clients on FINCA’s self‑managed group product methodology.
• Guide groups in selecting leaders, establishing governance principles and maintaining records.
• Assess group readiness for FINCA financial services and monitor progress against action plans.
• Submit weekly feedback to the Branch Manager and coordinate with the Product Associate.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business, Marketing, Education or a related field.
• Fluency in English and the local language of the operating area.
• Ability to ride a motorcycle.
• Excellent sales, marketing and customer‑service skills.
• Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving, time‑management and communication abilities.
