Food & Beverage Stock Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Cost Controller to help monitor and control daily expenses, stock, and food and beverage costs.

Key responsibilities

• Sales-to-Usage Alignment: Check daily food and beverage sales directly against stock usage to ensure depletion perfectly matches revenue.
• Wastage & Cost Control: Monitor kitchen and bar wastage, identify areas to reduce unnecessary costs, and enforce restaurant cost‑control procedures.
• Stock Variance Audits: Carry out regular physical stock counts, investigate inventory shortages, and resolve unusual cost discrepancies immediately.
• Purchasing Verification: Audit daily purchases, supplier invoices, and goods received to ensure accurate pricing and proper recording.
• Financial Reporting: Compare actual operational costs against the budget and prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly cost reports.
• Menu Costing: Assist culinary and management teams with precise food and beverage menu costing to ensure optimal profit margins.
• Cross‑Department Collaboration: Work seamlessly with Kitchen, Stores, Purchasing, F&B Service, and Finance teams to streamline operations.

Required profile

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 + years of proven experience in hotel/restaurant accounting or cost control, preferably in a hospitality environment.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and deep knowledge of food, beverage, and stock control methodologies.
• Core Traits: Exceptional numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication and organizational abilities, known for honesty, reliability, and the capacity to work with minimal supervision.
