Head of Business Development and Electronic Security Systems

About the role

The Head of Business Development and Electronic Security Systems will lead G4S Uganda’s growth in both manned security services and electronic security technology. Reporting to the COO, you will shape commercial strategy, drive revenue, and oversee technical delivery across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales plans to increase market share in guarding, systems integration, and cash solutions.
• Build and manage a B2B pipeline targeting corporate, NGO, banking, and government clients.
• Lead bid preparation and tender processes for large‑scale security contracts.
• Oversee product line deployment for CCTV, access control, fire detection, and perimeter intrusion systems.
• Manage engineering teams through site surveys, design, installation, and maintenance.
• Identify and integrate emerging technologies such as AI analytics, cloud surveillance, and IoT security.
• Negotiate with OEMs and local partners to secure favorable agreements.
• Hold P&L responsibility for both guarding and electronic security units, providing forecasts and performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, IT, Business Administration or related field.
• 7–10 years of commercial sales experience in security, telecom or technology sectors.
• 3–5 years in a senior leadership role with proven P&L accountability.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and large corporate accounts.
