ICSS Commissioning Supervisor (Oil & Gas)

About the role

The ICSS Commissioning Supervisor will lead the commissioning and start‑up of control and safety systems for the EACOP pipeline project in Tanzania and Uganda. This senior position supervises contractor activities, ensures integration of control systems, and supports local teams throughout the commissioning phase.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all ICSS commissioning activities and validate testing procedures.
• Coordinate interfaces between control, instrumentation, and electrical disciplines.
• Manage contractor and subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with schedules and HSE requirements.
• Oversee loop checks, functional testing, cause‑and‑effect tests, and validation of control narratives.
• Support integration testing of DCS, ESD, F&G and SCADA systems.
• Review commissioning dossiers, handover documentation, and provide technical support during start‑up.
• Lead risk assessments and monitor HSE compliance on site.

Required profile

• Degree in Automation, Control Systems, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of commissioning experience in oil & gas projects.
• Strong background with ICSS, DCS, ESD, F&G and SCADA systems.
• Excellent communication skills in English; French is a plus.
