About the role
UNICEF is seeking a national Information and Knowledge Management Consultant to support the Ministry of Health’s Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) pillar in Uganda. The consultant will enhance information management, knowledge sharing, reporting and evidence use for Ebola preparedness and response over a 6.5‑month period.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor RCCE activities related to Ebola preparedness and response.
- Develop, maintain and update dashboards and reporting systems for real‑time decision‑making.
- Collect, analyse and synthesize community feedback, social listening and behavioural data.
- Produce regular reports and visualisations to inform stakeholders and guide interventions.
- Support data‑driven decision‑making and evidence‑based planning within the national RCCE pillar.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Informatics, Statistics, Monitoring & Evaluation, Knowledge Management, Data Science, SBC, Development Studies, Communications or related fields.
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in information/knowledge management, M&E, public‑health intelligence or emergency response.
- Demonstrated experience working with government agencies, UN bodies or NGOs on outbreak preparedness and response.
- Proven ability to develop and manage dashboards and reporting tools.
Required skills
- Strong information and knowledge management capabilities.
- Advanced data management, analysis and visualisation skills.
- Experience with Power BI and Tableau for dashboard development.
- Quantitative and qualitative data analysis expertise.
- Solid monitoring and evaluation background.
