Instructor / Assistant Lecturer – Anatomy

About the role

The Aga Khan University‑Uganda School of Nursing and Midwifery seeks an Instructor / Assistant Lecturer in Anatomy to join its full‑time faculty. The role involves teaching undergraduate students, contributing to research, and supporting academic development within a vibrant, international university environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate anatomy courses to nursing and health‑science students.
• Engage in research activities and publish findings to advance nursing knowledge.
• Provide mentorship, counselling, and academic support to students.
• Participate in academic administration and program development for the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
• Maintain active clinical practice and pursue continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Master of Science in Human Anatomy.
• Undergraduate degree in Nursing, Medicine & Surgery, or Biomedical Sciences from a recognized university.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education and/or PhD (preferred).
• Registration with the relevant professional regulatory body and a current practising licence where applicable.
• Minimum two years of clinical and/or teaching experience in a hospital or academic setting.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational abilities.
