Internal Audit Assistant

About the role

The Internal Audit Assistant will support the internal audit function by reviewing risk management, internal controls and governance processes. This role offers a detail‑oriented professional the chance to develop a career in internal audit within a dynamic organization.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing risk‑based audit plans and engagement planning.
• Execute audit tests, examine documentation and prepare clear working papers in line with International Internal Auditing Standards.
• Identify improvements in risk management, governance and control systems.
• Prepare high‑quality draft audit reports and follow up on management action plans.
• Perform administrative duties, stay updated on industry regulations and support special investigations or consulting assignments.
• Provide support to the Internal Audit Manager on risk, audit or compliance tasks as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related business field.
• Partial professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIA) is preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant audit or finance experience.
• Strong analytical, strategic and creative thinking abilities.
• High integrity, professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Audit and accounting expertise.
• Proficiency with Computer Aided Audit Tools (CAAT).
• Knowledge of International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) standards.
• Effective interviewing and documentation skills.
