About the role

We are looking for meticulous, forward‑thinking laboratory professionals to join our growing healthcare team in Kampala. The role offers the chance to lead from the bench, take initiative, and develop leadership potential in a fast‑growing clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and procedures accurately according to established standards.
• Collect, receive, label, process, and analyse patient specimens.
• Ensure accurate, reliable, and timely reporting of results.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Maintain precise laboratory records, reports, and documentation.
• Follow quality‑control, safety, infection‑prevention, and regulatory procedures.
• Identify and promptly report unusual or critical results.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement of laboratory services.
• Mentor junior team members where appropriate.

Required profile

• Laboratory Technician qualification or higher (or equivalent enrolled laboratory assistant).
• Valid professional registration and practising licence where applicable.
• Strong technical and analytical abilities with high attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
• Demonstrated initiative, reliability, and willingness to learn and grow.
