About the role
The Department of Law and Jurisprudence at Makerere University seeks a Lecturer 3 to join its academic staff. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, and community outreach while supporting the department’s strategic goals.
Key responsibilities
- Teach, examine and grade undergraduate and postgraduate law students.
- Supervise student research projects and theses.
- Mentor junior academic staff and provide guidance on pedagogical matters.
- Conduct original research and engage in community outreach activities related to law.
- Write and submit proposals to attract external funding for departmental initiatives.
- Perform any other official duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Required profile
- PhD (or LLD) in Law with a specialization in Land Law.
- Master of Laws (LLM) degree.
- Honours Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
