Marketing Executive

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Marketing Executive to join Marriott International’s team in Kampala. The role focuses on promoting the Marriott brand, driving guest engagement and supporting revenue‑generating activities across our hotel portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Promote brand awareness internally and externally through targeted campaigns.
• Utilise sales techniques to maximise revenue while maintaining guest loyalty.
• Identify upselling opportunities and recommend enhancements to improve the guest experience.
• Assist guests and callers with preview package sales, tours and event bookings.
• Verify eligibility for vacation club tours and schedule appointments.
• Provide complimentary gifts and rewards to recognise guest patronage.
• Answer guest inquiries about property facilities and services.
• Accurately record and relay messages, adhering to company policies and confidentiality standards.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold Marriott’s service standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior work experience required.
• Strong communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift objects up to 10 lb and stand for extended periods.
