Midwife – Full‑time Position in Kampala

About the role

Axel Uganda Limited is seeking qualified midwives to join its healthcare team in Kampala. This full‑time role involves providing comprehensive reproductive and newborn care in homes, birth centres and hospitals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pelvic examinations for preventive care, diagnosis, and monitoring of fetal health.
• Diagnose medical conditions and order appropriate tests.
• Prescribe reproductive‑health medications such as oral contraceptives and hormone replacement therapy.
• Assist with deliveries in various settings, ensuring safety for mother and baby.
• Support expectant and new mothers through counseling and practical advice.
• Provide medical care for newborns during the first month of life.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records.

Required profile

• Entry‑level qualification in midwifery or a related healthcare field.
• At least one month of relevant experience.
