National AMR Technical Coordinator – Uganda

About the role

Palladium is seeking a National Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Technical Coordinator to lead the implementation of AMR activities in Uganda under the Tackling Deadly Diseases in Africa Programme Phase 2 (TDDAP2). This is a full‑time, 10‑month fixed‑term position based in Kampala, working closely with the country team, consortium partners and national government to ensure coordinated, high‑quality technical delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all AMR‑related activities within the TDDAP2 framework in Uganda.
• Ensure technical quality and alignment of activities with national AMR action plans and One Health principles.
• Facilitate collaboration between government agencies, implementing partners and consortium members.
• Support strengthening of AMR governance, surveillance, reporting systems and laboratory capacity.
• Monitor progress, capture lessons learned and promote sustainability beyond the programme life‑span.

Required profile

• Proven experience in antimicrobial resistance, public health or health security programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to work with national governments and multi‑sectoral partners.
• Strong understanding of One Health, gender equity and social inclusion approaches.
• Excellent coordination, communication and reporting skills.
