NGIS Building Manager

About the role

Amentum is seeking an experienced NGIS Building Manager to oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Navy Gateway Inns & Suites (NGIS) on Diego Garcia. The role ensures the facility meets U.S. Navy lodging standards while delivering a safe, clean and high‑quality guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage building maintenance, housekeeping, front‑desk and guest‑service functions.
• Conduct regular inspections, identify maintenance needs and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with engineering and contracted service teams.
• Maintain accurate records of occupancy, work orders, inspections and supply usage.
• Oversee inventory of supplies, equipment, furnishings and materials required for NGIS operations.
• Train, mentor and supervise staff performing housekeeping, customer service and facility support.
• Address guest concerns, resolve issues and ensure a professional lodging experience.
• Implement and enforce safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Communicate operational updates and facility conditions to supervisors and Navy leadership.
• Perform other duties consistent with the seniority of the position.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in lodging management, hotel operations or facility management.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or facility‑management certifications preferred.
• Valid passport with at least one year remaining validity and ability to travel internationally.
• Eligibility to obtain country‑specific visas and meet contract medical requirements.
