Operations Assistant

About the role

The Operations Assistant supports the day‑to‑day functioning of the business, ensuring smooth coordination across staff, fleet, stock and client deliveries. Working under the Operations Manager, you will help maintain high service standards and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Operations Manager in overseeing daily business activities and team performance.
• Support fleet management, ensuring vehicles are well‑maintained and presentable.
• Monitor staff attendance and report any issues promptly.
• Help guarantee timely delivery of client orders and address delivery challenges.
• Maintain adequate stock levels and aid in purchase planning when needed.
• Assist remote branches in meeting their duties and professional standards.
• Develop and improve processes where standard operating procedures are missing.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings to discuss operational improvements.
• Enforce health and safety policies throughout the organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar operational support role.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent multitasking, prioritisation and time‑management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
