Pest Controller – Full‑time (Entry level)

About the role

The Pest Controller will carry out routine pest‑control operations at government‑owned sites in Kampala, ensuring safe and effective management of pest populations. The role is full‑time, performed during regular government working hours and requires strict adherence to safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine pest‑control tasks in unoccupied spaces during government working hours, excluding holidays.
• Apply pesticides using preventative, chemical and non‑chemical methods while following label directions.
• Dispose of pesticides, rinse water and containers in accordance with local environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of pesticide usage, storage and disposal.
• Inspect work areas to identify pest‑related problems and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of pest‑control experience with safe pesticide handling.
• Current DoD Pesticide Applicator Certification (required to be submitted before start).
• Valid passport with at least one year of validity and ability to obtain required visas.
• Ability to work independently and schedule tasks within specified hours.
• Fluent in English (read, write, speak).
