Product Manager – Security (Application Management)

About the role

Canonical is seeking a Product Manager for Security (Application Management) to lead the product development lifecycle and drive cross‑functional collaboration. You will shape the product vision, align teams, and ensure successful market delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the product development lifecycle, set priorities and goals, and keep execution on track.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, sales and support to define and deliver features.
• Conduct market research, analyse industry trends and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities.
• Communicate product vision, status updates and key decisions to stakeholders.
• Run usability testing, analyse user feedback and iterate to improve the user experience.
• Oversee consistency across product lines and resolve conflicts between teams.

Required profile

• Exceptional academic results at high school and university.
• Strong understanding of Linux and the open‑source software community.
• Knowledge of computer architecture, application development, datacenters and cloud environments.
• Passion for writing about technology and continuous learning.
• Outstanding communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
