Production Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Production Manager to lead the day‑to‑day planning, execution and quality control of our creative fabrication projects. The role sits within Dormi Arts Initiative, a Ugandan social enterprise that transforms art and design into social impact.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and oversee all fabrication activities to meet production targets and client requirements.
• Develop and implement efficient production processes, optimizing resource use and adjusting plans to meet deadlines.
• Lead, train and supervise a team of artists, artisans and fabricators, assigning tasks based on skills and project needs.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback and foster continuous improvement.
• Establish and enforce quality‑control standards, inspect materials and finished products, and resolve any quality issues.
• Promote health and safety compliance, carry out regular safety audits and risk assessments.
• Research new creative concepts and techniques to keep production methods innovative.
