Project Assistant – Education (3 openings)

About the role

The Project Assistant will support the Strengthening Transferable Skills, Resilience and Inclusive Development in Education and TVET across multiple districts in Uganda, reporting to the Project Officer – Education. The role involves planning, coordinating and monitoring education‑related activities at sub‑county and district levels.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate sub‑county and district project activities in consultation with the Project Officer, CCT, tutors and DEOs.
• Organise meetings, workshops and training sessions for teachers, literacy volunteers and community volunteers.
• Track activity budgets, ensure timely and cost‑effective implementation, and produce accurate reports.
• Conduct capacity‑needs assessments, develop and deliver capacity‑building plans for teachers and volunteers.
• Support school improvement plans, mentor teachers, and facilitate peer‑learning networks.
• Document children’s vulnerabilities, impact stories and good practices for reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education (primary focus preferred).
• Minimum 3 years experience in education management and 2 years in community engagement.
• Computer literate with strong writing and reporting abilities.
• Ability to communicate in relevant local languages and a valid riding licence.
• Commitment to Christian values and high integrity.
