Robotics Data Collector – Uganda

About the role

CNTXT AI is seeking a Robotics Data Collector to capture high‑quality multimodal datasets for training next‑generation AI models. You will work hands‑on with robotic platforms, cameras, and sensors in lab and controlled real‑world environments across Uganda.

Key responsibilities

• Collect robotics and egocentric (first‑person) data using handheld, head‑mounted, or robot‑mounted cameras, IMU, depth cameras and other sensors.
• Execute data‑collection tasks according to predefined scenarios and protocols, ensuring consistent and accurate recordings.
• Assist in operating humanoid or mobile robots, supporting setup, calibration and hardware troubleshooting.
• Review collected data for completeness, clarity and accuracy, flagging missing or misaligned recordings.
• Prepare experimental environments, conduct object‑manipulation, navigation and human‑robot interaction sessions.
• Maintain detailed documentation of sessions, equipment usage and any issues encountered.
• Follow lab safety, data privacy and security guidelines at all times.

Required profile

• 0–3 + years of experience in data collection, field operations, or lab environments.
• Technical or hardware‑focused background, comfortable with cameras, sensors and recording devices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with various camera types (handheld, head‑mounted, robot‑mounted).
• Familiarity with IMU and depth‑camera sensors.
• Basic knowledge of robotic systems and sensor integration.
• Understanding of egocentric data collection and computer‑vision datasets.
