Sales Agent – Financial Services

About the role

The Sales Agent will work on‑site at our Kamwokya branch in Kampala, promoting ICEA LION Uganda’s insurance, pension and investment solutions. You will engage prospective clients, explain product features and support existing customers with their financial needs.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach new prospects through cold calls, visits and networking.
• Present and sell insurance, pension and investment products, preparing proposals and completing application paperwork.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, responding to inquiries and offering suitable financial advice.
• Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to branch performance.
• Stay updated on product changes, market trends and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in regular training sessions and collaborate with team members.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer‑focused attitude with empathy and professionalism.
• Proven sales ability – prospecting, negotiation and closing.
• Basic understanding of insurance concepts and willingness to learn.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field preferred.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kampala and adhere to high ethical standards.
