Sales Agent

About the role

The Sales Agent will join an insurance agency in Kampala, reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager. This full-time, on-site position focuses on promoting the agency’s insurance services to both prospective and existing clients, driving new business and supporting client retention.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach potential clients through sales calls, in-person meetings and lead follow-up.
• Explain the agency’s insurance products, prepare and present tailored proposals.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, proposals and sales activities in the CRM system.
• Provide responsive customer service, handling inquiries and resolving client concerns promptly.
• Support onboarding and training of new clients on service usage.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of services and meet sales targets.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills with the ability to negotiate and build professional relationships.
• Proven customer-service experience and a track record of high client satisfaction.
• Demonstrated sales ability in a target-driven environment.
• Basic knowledge of insurance products or related experience.
• Ability to work on-site, manage time effectively and collaborate within a diverse team.
