Sales Manager

About the role

The Sales Manager will lead and develop sales operations for HIPOLY POLYTECH MANUFACTURING across Uganda. You will build the sales network, manage a team of representatives, and drive revenue growth for the company’s plastic household products and small home appliances.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies for the Ugandan market.
• Build and expand distribution, wholesale, retail and other sales channels.
• Identify and develop major distributors, wholesalers, retailers, supermarkets and key customers.
• Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate sales representatives.
• Set monthly and quarterly sales targets and monitor team performance.
• Conduct regular market visits and ensure active customer development.
• Monitor competitor products, prices, promotions and market activities.
• Analyze sales data and prepare weekly and monthly management reports.
• Recommend pricing, promotions, and customer development actions based on market conditions.
• Monitor customer credit and outstanding balances and coordinate collection activities.
• Establish effective customer management and sales reporting systems.
• Maintain strong relationships with key customers and ensure compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, Management or a related field.
• At least 3‑5 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in FMCG, household products, plastics or home appliances.
• Previous experience managing a sales team is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Kampala and Uganda's wholesale and retail markets.
• Proven ability to develop distributors, wholesalers, key customers and new sales channels.
• High integrity, responsibility, discipline, accountability and target orientation.
