Sales Representative

About the role

The Sales Representative will be responsible for expanding HIPOLY POLYTECH's customer base, promoting its plastic household products and small home appliances, and meeting monthly sales targets across Kampala and other Ugandan markets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new customers, building a robust sales network.
• Visit wholesalers, retailers, distributors, supermarkets and other potential buyers regularly.
• Introduce and promote the company’s product range.
• Maintain relationships with existing customers and follow up on orders.
• Gather market intelligence on demand, competitor offerings, pricing and trends.
• Monitor customer payments and manage outstanding balances per company policy.
• Prepare daily and weekly sales and visit reports.
• Achieve assigned monthly sales targets.
• Adhere to sales policies and protect confidential information.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales or related field (preferred).
• At least 12 months of sales experience, preferably in FMCG, plastics, home appliances or distribution.
• Good knowledge of Kampala’s wholesale and retail channels.
• Strong communication, negotiation and customer development abilities.
• Willingness to conduct regular field visits.
• Honest, disciplined, self‑motivated and results‑oriented.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
