Senior Grants and Partnership Manager

About the role

The Senior Grants and Partnership Manager will lead compliance and grants management for the PlayMatters education initiative, ensuring high‑quality programming and service delivery across Uganda, Ethiopia and South Sudan.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full grants lifecycle, including legal compliance, monitoring, and reporting.
• Coordinate program implementation with HQ, regional, and country teams.
• Manage partnership processes, ensuring alignment with IRC policies and donor requirements.
• Facilitate internal and external communications related to grants and partnerships.
• Prepare and review financial and narrative reports for donors and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for all grant activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in grants management or partnership development, preferably in the humanitarian sector.
• Strong understanding of donor compliance, monitoring, and reporting standards.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with technical, financial, and project management teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
