Senior Partnerships Manager

About the role

We are seeking a strategic and commercially‑driven Senior Partnerships Manager to lead Fido’s partnership strategy in Uganda. You will be responsible for identifying, negotiating and managing high‑impact collaborations that accelerate customer acquisition, product adoption and revenue growth across the financial services ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a partnership strategy aligned with Fido’s growth objectives in Uganda.
• Identify, evaluate and secure strategic alliances with banks, fintechs, mobile operators, merchants and regulators.
• Lead commercial negotiations, contract drafting and execution for new partnership opportunities.
• Maintain long‑term relationships with key partners, monitor performance against KPIs and drive optimisation.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, risk, operations and commercial teams to launch and scale partnership‑led initiatives.
• Gather partner and customer insights to inform product enhancements and new product development.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and emerging partnership opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years (84 months) of experience in partnership management, business development or related commercial roles, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of negotiating and closing high‑value agreements.
• Extensive network and deep understanding of Uganda’s financial services ecosystem.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
