Uganda Finance Associate

About the role

The Uganda Finance Associate will support One Acre Fund’s Uganda program by providing financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting that drive strategic decisions. Working closely with the Grants Finance team, the associate will also manage the financial aspects of donor‑funded grants, ensuring compliance and effective stakeholder communication.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and continuously update 5‑year rolling forecasts and financial models, aligning assumptions with the Country Director and Global Finance.
• Act as the primary financial advisor for strategic initiatives, delivering recommendations backed by sensitivity analyses.
• Lead monthly financial reporting and Budget vs. Actual processes in partnership with department heads.
• Oversee grant lifecycle, ensuring donor compliance, accurate reporting, and efficient tracking systems.
• Prepare donor budget reports, forecasts, and monitor grant spending against budgets.
• Manage fund flow models to maintain operational liquidity for restricted activities and coordinate fund transfers across Finance, Field, and Fundraising teams.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least four years of relevant experience in finance, budgeting, or financial analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross‑functional teams and senior leadership.
• Strong understanding of grant management and donor compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
