YouTube Strategist – Full‑Time Remote

About the role

We are looking for a data‑driven YouTube Strategist to lead and scale our channel presence. This remote, full‑time/contract role will own the end‑to‑end video content pipeline, from strategy and creative direction to performance analysis and monetisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute long‑term YouTube content strategies aligned with business goals, optimizing for search and suggested video algorithms.
• Conduct audience research and competitor analysis to identify trending topics and high‑value content opportunities.
• Guide writers, videographers and editors, ensuring titles, descriptions, tags and thumbnails are optimised for click‑through rates.
• Monitor key metrics (retention, CTR, watch time, subscriber growth) in YouTube Studio and translate insights into actionable improvements.
• Maintain an editorial calendar and coordinate production workflows to deliver consistent, high‑quality videos.
• Collaborate with social media, paid ads and product marketing teams to integrate YouTube videos across the broader marketing ecosystem.
• Identify and pursue monetisation opportunities such as brand sponsorships and merchandise integrations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven track record of growing YouTube channels, supported by a portfolio or case studies.
• Deep, up‑to‑date understanding of the YouTube algorithm, SEO best practices and community guidelines.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret YouTube Analytics data and shape content strategy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for briefing creative teams.
• Strong organisational and project‑management skills to handle multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
