About the role
The Accountant will join Donswift Company Limited’s finance team in Kampala, supporting the IT equipment and accessories business. This full‑time position focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with Ugandan tax regulations, and providing timely financial information to management.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records and perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare and file VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, Withholding Tax returns, and manage TIN registration and NSSF remittances with URA.
- Prepare audit schedules and examine financial records for discrepancies.
- Provide timely and accurate financial information and reports to management.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting, tax, or audit.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Tally ERP.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with EFRIS.
