Analyst – Distribution & Channels

About the role

MTN Uganda is seeking an Analyst – Distribution & Channels to provide data‑driven support for the effective management of distribution channels. The role focuses on channel performance analysis, agent performance monitoring, business intelligence, fraud management, and supporting digital distribution growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on channel performance (Cash In, Cash Out, P2P, and rebalancing).
• Analyze agent performance, conduct gap analysis by region and recommend productivity strategies.
• Track agent quality KPIs, identify market opportunities and analyse cash‑in/cash‑out trends.
• Support the Manager – Channels Management in optimizing digital distribution channels and ensure compliance with partner terms.
• Equip customer‑facing teams with information for first‑line query resolution and handle fraud incidents.
• Utilise business intelligence tools to generate insights and contribute to MoMo amplification.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, IT, Business Computing or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of progressive analytical experience in fintech, telecommunications or FMCG, with experience working with dealer and distribution channel partners.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Scripting languages (e.g., Python, R).
• Business intelligence tools for data analysis.
