About the role
The University in Uganda is seeking qualified candidates for academic positions ranging from Assistant Professor to Professor in the Computer Science department. The role involves teaching, research, and active participation in university life.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate Computer Science courses.
- Develop course materials, assignments and examinations.
- Conduct research and contribute to academic publications.
- Supervise student projects, dissertations and research work.
- Participate in departmental and university academic activities.
Required profile
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, appropriate to the academic rank.
- Relevant university teaching experience and/or industry experience.
- Strong programming, research and academic abilities.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural academic environment.
