Associate Area Coordinator – Safe Water Now

About the role

The Associate Area Coordinator supports the Safe Water Now program by linking strategic objectives with on‑the‑ground delivery. Working under the Area Coordinator, this role leads field teams to sustain chlorine adoption and ensures program activities remain locally anchored.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise field teams across the assigned area, balancing office and community work.
• Maintain and strengthen district‑level relationships with local partners and authorities.
• Monitor and report on the quality, cost‑effectiveness, and integrity of field operations.
• Drive chlorine adoption initiatives and track progress against program targets.
• Serve as the operational bridge between program strategy and community‑level implementation.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of relevant experience in field coordination or program implementation.
• Demonstrated ability to work in both office and field environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with local stakeholders.
• Commitment to the mission of delivering safe drinking water in rural Uganda.
