About the role
Busitema University, a public multi‑campus university in Eastern Uganda, is recruiting Associate Professors for its Faculty of Engineering and Technology (Polymer, Textile and Industrial Engineering) and its Faculty of Health Sciences (Nursing and Midwifery). The positions are senior academic appointments on the PU4 TSC salary scale.
Required profile
- PhD in Textile Engineering (for Engineering faculty) or PhD in Nursing/Health‑related discipline (for Health Sciences faculty) from a recognised institution.
- Minimum three years of university teaching experience at Senior Lecturer level in the relevant field.
- At least four peer‑reviewed publications in the area of specialization, with two as first/corresponding author.
- Supervision of three postgraduate (MSc or PhD) students.
- Evidence of community contribution.
- Current full‑time appointment/contract with a university.
- Age not exceeding 65 years at the application deadline.
