Backend Engineer Annotator

About the role

We are looking for a highly analytical Backend Engineer Annotator to support the development and improvement of artificial intelligence. In this role you will review, annotate, validate and enhance backend engineering datasets, code samples and system design outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and annotate backend code samples and engineering workflows.
• Label datasets involving REST APIs, GraphQL and backend workflows.
• Validate scalability, performance and reliability standards.
• Provide engineering reasoning and structured evaluation feedback.
• Evaluate server‑side code performance and logic accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• Understanding of authentication systems such as OAuth, JWT and session management.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems and event‑driven design.
• Experience reviewing database queries, authentication systems and microservices.
• Strong grasp of backend security principles and secure coding standards.
• Familiarity with containerisation tools like Docker.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Prior experience conducting technical assessments or code reviews.
