Branch Manager – Multiple Locations

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Branch Manager to lead one of our optical centres in Uganda. The role combines operational leadership, sales growth, and team development to deliver excellent eye‑care services while expanding the Lapaire brand.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales performance and exceed targets for vision tests, product sales and customer satisfaction.
• Lead, train and motivate a team of sales representatives and an eye specialist, allocating tasks and conducting regular meetings.
• Manage branch finances, record deposits and purchases, and prepare financial reports for senior management.
• Oversee stock management, minimise loss and shrinkage, and ensure a clean, presentable shop.
• Develop B2B partnerships and execute business‑development initiatives based on market intelligence.
• Promote brand awareness and communicate product benefits to customers.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce or a related field.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in retail or branch management, preferably in the optical or healthcare sector.
• Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and managing teams.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and solid understanding of business operations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Financial reporting and data analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
