Branch Operations Manager

About the role

Housing Finance Bank is looking for an experienced Branch Operations Manager to lead branch activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and support business growth across its network in Uganda.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor branch operational processes in line with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Process customer instructions while maintaining high service standards.
• Develop strategies to minimise fraud, forgeries and operational risk.
• Monitor non‑performing loans and enforce credit‑policy compliance.
• Authorize cash transactions, back‑office activities and customer instructions within approved limits.
• Manage safe custody of branch keys and official stamps.
• Prepare performance reports for senior management and ensure KYC compliance.
• Supervise, coach and evaluate branch staff performance and development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Marketing, Statistics or a related field.
• At least 4 years progressive experience in branch operations with proven risk‑management experience.
• Strong knowledge of banking operations, customer service and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, organisational and coordination abilities.
• High integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.
