Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive revenue growth for a cleaning services provider by identifying, pursuing and securing new commercial and institutional contracts. This position is results‑oriented, focusing on lead generation, tendering and client relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, pursue and close new cleaning service contracts.
• Develop and execute lead‑generation strategies and convert prospects into paying clients.
• Conduct client visits, presentations and negotiations to secure deals.
• Source tender opportunities from newspapers and online platforms, prepare pre‑qualification documents, bids and framework agreements.
• Maintain a database of submitted and upcoming bids, ensuring compliance and timely submission.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities in the facilities‑management sector.
• Provide regular updates to management on potential expansion areas and strategic partnerships.
• Follow up on bids, maintain communication with prospects and support onboarding of new clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
• At least 3 years of proven experience in sales, business development or tendering, preferably within cleaning, facilities management or related services.
• Familiarity with government and private‑sector procurement processes is an advantage.
