Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

About the role

The Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic leadership to drive sustainable growth, profitability and long‑term value creation for Uganda Baati Limited. Reporting to the Regional CEO and accountable to the Board, the role carries full P&L responsibility and oversees business strategy, commercial performance, stakeholder engagement, governance, operational excellence and talent development.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the company’s strategic vision to achieve sustainable growth and shareholder value.
• Maintain full P&L accountability and ensure financial targets are met.
• Lead business strategy, commercial performance and operational excellence across all functions.
• Engage with key stakeholders, uphold governance standards and drive talent development.
• Align Uganda Baati’s objectives with the broader Safal Group vision.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology or a related field (post‑graduate qualification in Engineering, Business or Management is an advantage).
• 20+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• At least 10 years in a senior business leadership role with full P&L accountability within a group or multinational environment.
• Proven track record of leading businesses with annual revenues exceeding USD 150 million.
