About the role
Rescue Mission for Street Life (RMFSL) is seeking a motivated intern to join its child‑protection team at ThriveSpace in Kampala. The role offers hands‑on experience in child development, structured play, and behavioural observation within a real‑world child‑protection setting.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in planning and delivering structured play activities for children.
- Observe, record, and analyse patterns of behaviour and recovery.
- Support documentation of children’s readiness for safe reintegration.
- Collaborate with the child‑protection team to contribute insights for learning and program improvement.
Required profile
- Current student or recent graduate in Psychology, Child Development, Social Work, Counselling, Education or related fields.
- Strong curiosity about child development and protection.
- Commitment to learning in a non‑clinical, supportive environment.
Required skills
- Basic observation and note‑taking abilities.
- Ability to follow structured activity plans.
