Chinese Translator

About the role

Twyford International Uganda is looking for a skilled Chinese Translator to act as the communication bridge between Chinese managers and the local workforce on the factory floor. This full‑time position ensures operational clarity, smooth coordination, and efficient workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate daily communication between Chinese managers and local staff.
• Assist the Chinese Head of Department with weekly attendance updates and monthly performance evaluations.
• Monitor and report on daily work progress of local team leaders.
• Supervise working conditions of local employees, address issues promptly, and escalate concerns to the Chinese manager.
• Understand each workstation’s operations to guide and correct employees when needed.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese (HSK Level 4 or above preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Chinese Translator/Interpreter.
