Coffee Trainee Programme – Global Rotations

About the role

Volcafe is offering a two‑year, hands‑on trainee programme focused on the green coffee supply chain. The journey starts at Kyagalanyi Coffee Limited in Uganda and includes global rotations across sourcing, production, quality, trading, logistics, sustainability and finance.

Key responsibilities

• Complete core and elective rotation modules in sourcing/purchasing, production operations, quality control, trading, logistics, sustainability and finance.
• Work closely with a programme sponsor and a network of expert mentors to develop industry knowledge and analytical acumen.
• Participate in real‑world projects, harvest periods and special initiatives as required.
• Prepare for final graduation and launch a career within Volcafe’s chosen functional area.

Required profile

• BA or MBA in Business, Finance, Economics or International Trade from a recognised institution.
• Strong analytical and research abilities.
• Business‑level proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Valid driver’s licence and passport with unrestricted global travel.
• Citizen or permanent resident of Uganda, Tanzania or Kenya.
• Willingness to relocate globally on short notice and work flexible hours, including shift patterns during harvest.
