Communications Specialist Intern

About the role

Join SLB in Kampala as a Communications Specialist Intern and support the Regional Communications Manager in shaping the company’s narrative across multiple channels. You will help create engaging internal content, assist with event logistics, and contribute to external communication initiatives that highlight SLB’s innovation in the energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Create clear, engaging written communications for employees, including newsletters, intranet posts, and digital signage.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to brainstorm and develop creative campaign ideas that resonate with target audiences.
• Support end‑to‑end execution of communication campaigns, ensuring alignment with performance objectives.
• Coordinate logistics for internal events, conferences, and webcasts to deliver a seamless participant experience.
• Assist in planning and executing external communication activities to enhance SLB’s brand visibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Media Studies or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong writing ability, attention to detail, and creativity.
• Willingness to learn and thrive in a fast‑paced communications environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Familiarity with digital communication platforms such as intranet systems, email marketing tools, or content management systems.
• Experience creating graphics or short‑form video content using Canva or similar design platforms.
