About the role
Uwezo Microfinance Limited is seeking a Credit Supervisor for its Mbarara branch. The role involves overseeing credit operations, ensuring portfolio quality, supervising loan officers, and supporting business development.
Key responsibilities
- Review and verify loan applications, conduct field visits and client interviews, and ensure proper credit appraisal and documentation.
- Monitor individual and group loan performance, track repayments, identify delinquent cases early, and maintain Portfolio at Risk within limits.
- Supervise and mentor loan officers, provide coaching on field procedures, and ensure productivity and portfolio quality targets are met.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards, verify credit files, and prepare regular credit reports for management.
- Address client concerns, promote responsible borrowing, and strengthen relationships with clients and community leaders.
- Guide loan officers in acquiring new clients, assist with marketing loan products, and analyze market trends for loan growth opportunities.
