Database Administrator

About the role

The Database Administrator will ensure optimal performance, integrity and security of Eleglance Finance’s enterprise databases. Working within the IT department, you will plan, develop and troubleshoot database solutions while supporting overall IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop/customize and install enterprise databases to meet business needs.
• Maintain database integrity by standardising parameters, objects and access controls.
• Implement and enforce database security policies and measures.
• Monitor and tune database performance, calculating optimum parameter values.
• Develop and execute disaster recovery, backup and restoration procedures.
• Maintain business continuity through regular testing of recovery plans.
• Oversee hardware and software maintenance schedules for the network and servers.
• Design, implement and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, ensuring proper labeling and configuration.
• Implement robust network security to protect against internal and external threats.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidates with up to two years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of database administration concepts and best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Managing Director and IT team.
• Attention to compliance and risk management in a financial environment.
